She had little social life, and because she felt the weight of such responsibilities she turned to music as a release. When my father was ill, music was my escape," Estefan told Washington Post reporter Richard Harrington. "I would lock myself up in my room for hours and just sing.

A mutual friend asked Emilio to advise Gloria and some friends about organizing a band for a special event. Emilio heard Gloria sing, and when he met her again at a wedding at which the Miami Latin Boys were entertaining, he asked her to sit in with the band. A few weeks later Emilio asked Gloria to perform as lead singer with the band, and she accepted. At first Gloria sang only on weekends, because she was still attending the University of Miami.

Bridget Jones is Diary and its sequel, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, Renee Zellweger plays the working-class heroine who has a fondness for food, drinking and smoking and laments about the "Smug Marrieds" who plague her singleton life.

The original was very loosely based on the plot of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, while the second has elements of Austen's Persuasion.

In both films, Colin Firth played the "good guy" love interest, Mark Darcy, while Hugh Grant portrayed the "bad boy," Daniel Cleaver.

Although no other details about the third film are available, Firth had once told Access Hollywood one possible plot: Bridget has trouble conceiving children with Mark, and thus turns to Daniel for help.

Which of course, does not end well. Fielding began writing a third book in the series earlier this year.

The Man Show and Dancing with the Stars alum Adam Carolla is getting animated. The comedian has teamed up with former King of the Hill executive producers John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky to produce The Birchums, which has landed a presentation order from Fox.

Who is a bit frustrated at the world. The Birchums would expand that universe, focusing on his interactions with family and friends as he puts up with an increasingly unmanly world.

It's a character that's similar in some ways to Hank Hill, the patriarch of King of the Hill, which Altschuler and Krinsky oversaw as showrunners for several years.

Altschuler and Krinsky are also currently working on MTV's revival of Beavis and Butt-head, which comes from Hill co-creator Mike Judge.Altschuler and Krinsky's other credits include ABC's animated series The Goode Family, as well as the screenplay to Blades of Glory.

Carolla is hosting The Car Show for the Speed Channel, hosts a popular podcast and recently wrote the book In Fifty Years We'll All Be Chicks, And Other Complaints from an Angry Middle-Aged White Guy.

The Birchums is one of several animated presentations in the works at Fox; Deadline.com reported on Thursday that comedian Demetri Martin has also just sold a project to the network.

While promoting her two new flicks, The Change-Up and Cowboys and Aliens, Olivia Wilde, has been showing off her impressive sartorial skills in everything from red-hot structured sheaths to custom-made beaded creations.

But the star's flawless style tour came to a screeching halt when she turned heads for all the wrong reasons at the London premiere of Cowboys & Aliens on Thursday night.

Wilde covered up in a black polka dot printed chiffon dress by Gucci, paired with a white bow at the neck and a slim belt.

Even the side boob-revealing sheer panels and choice of bright red lipstick couldn't sex up the matronly look.

Despite the rare fashion misstep, the 27-year-old actress is having a pretty amazing week.

She was just named the new global ambassador for Revlon (along with Emma Stone) and on Monday,

Her extra-long ponytail dressed up with clear elastics, garnered tons of praise from beauty critics who loved the unique summer 'do.

Kristen Stewart was born on 9th April 1990 in Los Angeles, California, USA, where her father worked as a stage manager, producer and director on numerous Fox television shows and her mother was a scriptwriter. Her performance in a grade school Christmas play caught the eye of a talent agent in the audience, so at the age of eight, Stewart began auditioning for film and television roles.

She landed a bit role in the Disney Channel TV production, "The Thirteenth Year" (1999) and snared a more substantial part two years later in Rose Troche's challenging independent drama "The Safety of Objects" (2001), in which she played the tomboyish daughter of troubled single mom Patricia Clarkson. Stewart found herself at the center of a major Hollywood production in 2002 when she was cast as the juvenile lead in David Fincher's Panic Room.

She portrayed a high school freshman who stops almost all verbal communication after being raped by an upperclassman, but retains a vivid and often sardonic running commentary in her head. She handled the complexities of the character with her customary skill and segued into Jon Favreau's underrated space fantasy "Zathura" (2005), which, despite requiring her to remain in a state of suspended animation for part of the film, gave her a showcase for her comic skills.

It was while working on the sequel "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" (2009) - that rumors began swirling that the much beloved onscreen coupling of Stewart and her co-star, Robert Pattinson - her seductive vampire love, Edward Cullen - was becoming a lovefest off set.Blogs and teeny bopper magazines dissected every photograph and interview the two participated in, all in order to get to the bottom of the question at hand: was the couple dating? Neither officially said, but the furor only added more luster to the highly anticipated "Twilight" sequel.

Kristen Stewart can definitely work it on the red carpet, she usually seems most comfortable in a pair of skinny jeans and Converse kicks. But in the September issue of W magazine, the "Twilight" star looks utterly gorgeous thanks to the retro glam "Valley of the Dolls"-inspired styling.

She reveals that although she never realized the "Twilight" franchise would become as big as it did, she's personally always had an interest in vampires. "I love me a vampire," she laughs. "I was 17 when I read Twilight, and at the time it was so perfect for me. The script was about young kids who think they can handle stuff that they just can't. And they're going to do it anyway.

The last 'Twilight' book is filled with BFDs, things that people have been waiting for for so long," she notes. "For me, it was ridiculously dramatic: I get married, give birth, the baby has an incredibly accelerated growth rate we're all very concerned about, and I say goodbye to my dad for the last time ever.

I'd been anticipating that end-of-Bella moment. I was going, 'Oh, my God -- I wonder how I'm going to feel," shares Kristen. "And the last scene of the shoot was at the wedding. Every single character was there on set. At the end of that day, I was kind of whacked. And so I never really had that moment then. Instead, it happened later. We needed to film one more sort of honeymoon scene and we went to the Virgin Islands.

She still hasn't found a way to lighten up when it comes to her star status. "It's a funny thing: You want so badly for people to see what you do -- you're proud of it -- and I like the effect that movies have on people. But the attention can also make me uncomfortable.

Olivia d Abo was born on 22th January 1969 in London,England,United Kingdom. She has mastered a variety of American accents for her many TV and film roles. She first acted for the cameras when she was 13, in a TV commercial, and two years later was celebrating her 15th birthday on the set of "Conan the Destroyer" (1984), in which she had a solid co-starring role as the virginal princess.

She is best known to TV audiences as Karen Arnold, the hippie older sister on "The Wonder Years" (ABC, 1988-92) who personified the restless youth of the late 1960s, wearing headbands and bell bottoms, and cutting school for "love-ins".

She has since often been cast as free spirits and sexpots, but has managed to move between comedy and drama, including her send-up as a sex kitten nursemaid lusting for Kirk Douglas' bank account in "Greedy" (1994) and the poignant "The Last Good Time" (1995), in which d'Abo played the younger half of a May-December romance with Armin Mueller-Stahl.

After filming an unsuccessful sitcom pilot for ABC, she joined the cast of the NBC sitcom "The Single Guy" (1996-97) as a voice actor who has moved into the title character's apartment building.

Stewart found herself at the center of a major Hollywood production in 2002 when she was cast as the juvenile lead in David Fincher's Panic Room.

Her first leading role came with "Catch That Kid" (2004), a breezy, teen-friendly caper, with Stewart as a young mountain-climbing aficionado who orchestrates a high-tech bank robbery to pay for an operation for her gravely ill father. A minor hit with 'tweens, it allowed Stewart a chance to show a lighter side of her acting talents and finally showcase herself to family audiences.

She had a starring role in the moderately successful supernatural film "The Messengers" (2007), and her career began to soar with no less than 10 film releases in the subsequent two years. She starred opposite Meg Ryan and Adrian Brody in the comic drama "In the Land of Women" (2007), and gave a bold performance as a teenage commune dweller who falls for an idealistic young drifter (Emile Hirsch) in Sean Penn's "Into the Wild" (2007), one of the top critics' picks of the year.

A-listers such as Cate Blanchett, Daniel Craig, Penelope Cruz, Scarlett Johansson, Jude Law, Madonna, Demi Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Naomi Watts, bring smaller, specialized projects to the Cinema Society. Likewise, films that draw excess attention, such as "The Twilight Saga," may use the privacy of a smaller Cinema Society gathering to screen a film with a select group in a setting that doesn't require Biblical-scale crowd control.

Piaget sponsored "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" on Monday, June 28, with the thought of connecting to an affluent youth audience. "Please keep details of the evening completely confidential beforehand," mentioned the Luxist invite. The secret location: The boutique Crosby Street Hotel in SoHo, which boasts a well-appointed but discreet screening room at basement level.

On the red carpet, Kristen Stewart wore RM by Roland Mouret, a short dress with swirls of large paillettes and spiky, 4-inch Louboutins. Her hair was newly colored brunette for her role in "On the Road" by Jack Kerouac. It was tied back loosely with braids to achieve a "ready for the gala but fell asleep" look. On the carpet, a tiny Stewart lost the Louboutins to chat with press.

During the screening, Luxist was seated next to Abigail Breslin and her mother. Other notables included Sofia Vergara of Modern Family, Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20, fashionista Rachel Zoe, and supermodels Dree Hemingway and Maggie Rizer.

That said, Luxist gives high marks to the food at the Crosby Street Hotel afterfete: beef sliders, chicken curry, crab cakes, squash, and goat cheese risotto. "Eclipse" fete food: Two thumbs way up.

A source tells E! News that the undercover couple was "all over each other" while attending a rooftop party at the Thompson Hotel.

And we're talking full on PDA here, Twi-hards, not just hand-holding. "They were kissing, nuzzling, holding hands and embracing," the source tells us.

More platonic partygoers included Taylor Lautner and the rest of the cast, who entered the bash through the back entrance. This is the second year in a row they've celebrated at the hotel.

ROBERT Pattinson says Kristen Stewart became a “real woman” while filming the third Twilight movie, Eclipse.

The 'Twilight Saga' actor - who stars as vampire Edward Cullen opposite his rumoured girlfriend, who plays Bella Swan in the movie franchise - enjoys seeing how much the 20-year-old screen beauty has changed since filming began and claims they are so close, they no longer need to communicate verbally.
“What I especially like about her is that she’s like me, not dizzy from fans and press attention,” he told the Russian edition of Grazia magazine.
"We understand each other without the words. I can tell Kristen about all my problems. But honestly I don't have to. because she's in same position as I am."
For a minute in the interview Rob begins to win us over, talking about Kristen's sincerity as one of the things he loves best about her: "Kristen really cares about me and I'm very grateful for this. She's the most honest and genuine person I've ever met. She always listens and gives good advice regardless of her own interests."
But then he throws us off, saying that he doesn't think love lasts forever: "The idea seems strange to me," Pattinson said. "It's so boring to spend your whole life with the same person." Does Kristen know your feelings about this?! Nothing like learning it from a foreign magazine interview!
Despite his feelings for Kristen, Robert doesn't believe in eternal love.

Kristen Stewart wants 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn' to be in 3-D.

The 20-year-old actress - who plays lead female character Bella Swan in the fantasy movie franchise - would like to see Bella experience a 3-D world when she becomes a vampire in the final film.

Kristen Stewart thinks the scene where she has to give birth may be better in 2-D.

She said: "I mean, the baby part, it's easy to joke about how weird it would be, but it wouldn't be the whole thing. It would be parts."

She told MTV News: "I'm really excited. I didn't want to read the script that was just one movie. It would have lacked so much because you couldn't cram the story into one. At least that was my opinion, so I'm really excited."

Saturday, June 19, 2010

Actress Kristen Stewart told MTV News that she was thrilled to hear "Breaking Dawn" would get a two-part treatment.

Frankly, it probably couldn't have, which is why Summit Entertainment announced that the final "Twilight" chapter, "Breaking Dawn," would be split into two separate movies. The decision to have the film unfold in two parts brings a sigh of relief not only from fans of the supernatural romance series, but also from many of the series' cast and crew members.
"I'm really excited," Stewart said when we spoke with her as she promoted "Eclipse." "I didn't want to read the script that was just one [movie]. It would have lacked so much because you just couldn't cram the story into one. At least that was my opinion, so I'm really excited."
"She's a woman now and it blows my mind," Stewart said of reprising her role as Bella one last time. "It's going to be a completely different person to play. She's like a matriarch now. She's the strongest vampire, she literally can protect everyone. She's literally impenetrable. I'm most excited about seeing Renesmee. It should be interesting, all of that stuff."
