Mary Helgenberger was born on 16th November 1958 in Fremont, Nebraska, USA.After making her feature debut as an all-night answering service operator in the mediocre anthology thriller "After Midnight", Helgenberger had a small role in Steven Spielberg's engaging fantasy "Always" (both 1989). Helgenberger began an association with Showtime which would include Peter Weller's "Partners" (1994, from the "Directed By" series), "Conundrum" (1996), "Elmore Leonard's Gold Coast" (1997), "Thanks of a Grateful Nation" (1998) and "Happy Face Murders" (1999). Excellent as the sex-starved widow of "Gold Coast", in which she rejoined Weller, she delivered arguably her best performance as the sister of a veteran felled by Gulf War Syndrome in the critically-acclaimed "Thanks of a Grateful Nation".

She was equally terrific in NBC's "Murder Live!" (1997) as shallow talk-show host Pia Postman and "Perfect Town, Perfect Murder" (2000), a thoughtful CBS miniseries look into the killing of JonBenet Ramsey. Her mother countersued, alleging that her daughter broke a contract to pay her mother $30,000 plus an additional $10,000 a month for health insurance premiums and other expenses.Her mother has somewhat of a shady past: the 25-year-old actress was born in a federal prison, thanks to her mother's involvement in an international drug smuggling ring.Meester can take peace in the fact that the addition of money has complicated many relationships -- and plenty of celebrities have sued their parents before her.

LeAnn Rimes might be a happy wife now, but her family life was far from peaceful back in 2000. During that time, the singer and actress filed suit against her father, Wilbur Rimes, and her former manager, Lyle Walker, for stealing her cash."It would appear that her father didn't always act in a fatherly way to her," her attorney Tom Rhodus told The Dallas Morning News after the suit was filed. Rimes alleged that her father and manager stole millions of her hard-earned dollars; her father counter-sued, alleging that she overspent her money.

U.S singer Mariah Carey is set to assist Simon Cowell at the judge's houses rounds of US 'X Factor'.

The X Factor creator said back in April that Carey would have a small part in the U.S. show premiering in September, but now she may be headed for a more substantial, full-time gig with the reality competition

However, 42-year-old Sinitta - who previously dated Brad Pitt - is not happy with the decision.

She told the Daily Star newspaper: 'Well, let's just say feathers will fly if Mariah takes my spot. Although she is a mega diva vocally, you can expect another 'X Factor' USA drama. I won't just roll over and take it. I hope she can run in high heels.'

In April, Simon spoke of his desire to have Mariah involved with the programme, but admitted he was unsure in what capacity.

He said: 'I think Mariah will have a role on the TV live shows. I met her recently and she was on great form. And her idea was to be the judge of the judges, which only Mariah could come up with

New York veterinarian Cindy Bressler sued Mariah Carey today in Manhattan state court for $30,000, the Associated Press reports. Bressler claims the pop star hasn't paid for the services rendered for three of her beloved dogs, Cha-Cha, Dolomite and JJ.
Bressler provided "extraordinary services" for the Jack Russell terriers — Cha-Cha, Dolomite and JJ — but the Grammy Award-winning singer paid only about $8,200 of the roughly $37,800 in charges, the lawsuit says. The bills cover a little more than a month of care.


Micheal C. Posner, Bressler's lawyer, wouldn't elaborate on the dog treatments.
Carey's spokeswoman didn't immediately respond to telephone and e-mail messages.
The pop diva has made her dogs something of characters in her multiplatinum-selling career, including in some comic video sketches made as part of an MTV.com promotion and posted on YouTube. In one, she and JJ compare the fit of their jeans: "I told you those `fat-free' dog treats weren't fat-free," she scolds.
She also regularly chronicles her dogs' doings on her Twitter feed, from Cha-Cha urinating on her dressing room floor and jumping on her last September to Dolomite stealing her underwear out of a suitcase while she was vacationing in March.

When the singer Mariah Carey and her husband, the actor and rapper Nick Cannon, appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” last September, Mr. Cannon told of how he proposed in 2008: he presented Ms. Carey with a Ring Pop, the gem-shaped lollipop on a ring. Inside the package was a proper engagement ring. Upon hearing the story, executives at Elizabeth Arden, the cosmetics company that since 2007 has sold a Mariah Carey fragrance collection, began to develop a proposal of their own.
Mariah Carey’s Lollipop Bling, three fragrances that Elizabeth Arden based on candy flavors and that will appear in stores soon, is the product of a partnership with the Topps Company, which makes Ring Pops. Print advertisements for the perfume in August issues of publications like Cosmopolitan, Elle and People Style Watch will show Ms. Carey wearing three Ring Pops.
After hearing Mariah’s story on Nick’s ring-pop proposal, Elizabeth Arden ran with the idea and decided to launch a full out perfume line based on candy flavors. Three different fragrances will be released on July 1st and are selling at $35 a bottle. They are also named after Carey’s songs so far Mariah Carey’s perfume line has grossed over $150 mil…this probably won’t do too bad either!!
