Leighton Meester's life these days isn't that unlike a storyline on an episode of her hit show. The actress and singer is suing her mother, Constance, for spending the money Meester sent for the care of her younger siblings. The "Country Strong" actress is now suing her mother, alleging that her mother is using the $7,500 she sent a month "... to pay for cosmetic procedures for herself, including plastic surgery on her face and stomach, botox injections for her face.

Her mother countersued, alleging that her daughter broke a contract to pay her mother $30,000 plus an additional $10,000 a month for health insurance premiums and other expenses. Her mother has somewhat of a shady past: the 25-year-old actress was born in a federal prison, thanks to her mother's involvement in an international drug smuggling ring.Meester can take peace in the fact that the addition of money has complicated many relationships -- and plenty of celebrities have sued their parents before her.

LeAnn Rimes might be a happy wife now, but her family life was far from peaceful back in 2000. During that time, the singer and actress filed suit against her father, Wilbur Rimes, and her former manager, Lyle Walker, for stealing her cash."It would appear that her father didn't always act in a fatherly way to her," her attorney Tom Rhodus told The Dallas Morning News after the suit was filed. Rimes alleged that her father and manager stole millions of her hard-earned dollars; her father counter-sued, alleging that she overspent her money.

"I go by the saying, 'Money's the root of all evil.' And I definitely believe that the love for money is the root of all evil, because it changes people," Rimes told ABC News in 2005. "I was being called a spoiled brat by some people. But, you know, people don't know me."Eventually father and daughter fixed their relationship -- and he even walked her down the aisle when she got married to her first husband, Dean Sheremet."I've never hated my dad. I just wanted a dad. I guess I just really disliked where he was in my life. I just wanted him to be my father," she said at the time.

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino is making millions as a star of MTV's "Jersey Shore." Of course, people start to come out of the woodwork when there's money -- and Sorrentino's estranged father is that person in his life. The reality star filed a suit against his father in May to keep Frank Sorrentino from using his name and likeness on his person website. The elder Sorrentino posted negative videos of his son after the ab-flasher refused to give his dad money.

Mariah Carey was born on 27th March 1970, in Long Island, New York to Alfred Roy Carey, a Venezuelan aeronautical engineer; and Patricia Carey, a voice coach and opera singer. Has two older siblings: a brother, Morgan, and a sister, Alison. Carey is known as one of the top “pop divas” of the 1990s, having sold more than eighty million albums worldwide.

She stunned her mother by imitating her operatic singing as early as age two, and was given singing lessons starting at age four. After graduating in 1987 from Harborfields High School in Greenlawn, New York, Carey moved to Manhattan where she worked as a waitress, coat check girl, and studied cosmetology while writing songs and actively pursuing a music career at night.

Her next album Music Box (1993) cut back a bit on the lavish studio production techniques heard in her previous albums, and included the No. 1 singles, “Dreamlover” and “Hero.” Her November 1994 release Merry Christmas combined traditional Christian hymns with new songs. In 1995 she released Daydream; the first single “Fantasy” debuted at No. 1. It also included collaborations with R&B and hip-hop artists, such as Wu-Tang Clan and Boyz II Men (“One Sweet Day”).

Her continued interest in hip-hop and R&B, including the Sean “Puffy” Combs produced “Honey,” her twelfth No. 1 hit. #1’s (1998) featured her thirteen previous chart-topping singles as well as the Academy Award-nominated “The Prince of Egypt (When You Believe),” a duet with fellow pop diva, Whitney Houston. Carey is also rumored to be pursuing an acting career.

Jessica Alba was born on 28th April 1981 in Pomona, California, USA. She was the daughter of a Mexican-American father and a French-Danish mother. Alba's early life was marked by a series of unfortunate physical maladies. In addition to asthma, Alba twice suffered from collapsed lungs, a burst appendix and had to endure pneumonia several times a year.

Luckily, her health eventually took a dramatically positive turn a few years later; an improvement Alba credited to her growing interest in acting. Signed by an agent by the age of 12, Alba made her screen debut with "Camp Nowhere." Alba went on to appear in two national TV commercials for Nintendo and J.C. Penney, which led to her landing a recurring role as the young snob, Jessica, in three episodes of the Nickelodeon comedy series, "The Secret World of Alex Mack."

She then performed the role of Maya Graham in the first two seasons of the TV series, "Flipper" (also known as "The New Adventures of Flipper"). Under the tutelage of her lifeguard mother, Alba learned to swim before she could walk and was a PADI-certified scuba diver - skills which were put to use on the show, which was filmed in Australia. As the fresh-faced, enthusiastic and sweet Maya, the part would provide Alba a nice departure from her previous "mean girl" TV efforts.

Alba played Joyce Lakeland, a prostitute and sometime-lover of Affleck's, whom he brutally beats to death on screen. The scene - and a similar one later in the film with Kate Hudson - was so graphic that the film inspired numerous walkouts and angry verbal responses at Sundance, and colored almost every one of the film's mixed reviews. Reports hit the Internet that Alba herself walked out of a screening halfway through, although her rep told the press later that the actress stood by her work and the film, and merely had to catch a flight.

Nicky Hilton was born on 5th October 1983. Born Nicholai Olivia Hilton, she is the second of four children. Her siblings are Paris, Barron, and Conrad. The famous Hilton hotel chain was developed by Nicky's great-grandfather Conrad. Nicky's grandfather, another Conrad, also handled the hotel business and was the first of Elizabeth Taylor's many husbands.

She also designed a line of handbags for Japanese company Samantha Thavasa. In 2007, she started her second line aimed at a more mature audience and higher pricepoint,[citation needed] called Nicholai, which had its debut fashion show for the spring/summer 2008 season on September 9, 2007 in New York City during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

On 31th September 2010 Nicky and her sister Paris Hilton were stopped by immigration officers at Narita Airport, Japan because of Paris' conviction for drug possession a day earlier; under Japan's strict anti-drug laws, all people sentenced for any drug crime are, in general, rejected entry to the country.

Paris and Nicky were forced to stay close to the airport at a hotel as officials would determine what to do on September 22.[5] It is unlikely that the Hiltons will be able to continue their Asian promotion tour, as they are about to enter countries like Indonesia and Malaysia, with even tougher anti-drug laws than Japan.

Charlie Sheen's former "goddesses," broke up with the eccentric TV star in March, and now, the 24-year-old former adult film star has spoken out on what drove her to leave. I didn't support the whole 'Two and a Half Men' breakup. I was really rooting for Charlie to get back on 'Two and a Half Men' and I felt like everyone else had other interests.

Bree told Access Hollywood in an interview on Friday, when asked why she chose to leave the actor. "Everyone just seemed green [with] money in their eyes and they're trying to get him to do everything else to benefit themselves. Betty White may have been thankful to receive an invite from a Marine who asked her hand to a military affair, but the 89-year-old actress has had to decline.

"I am deeply flattered and truly appreciate the invitation, as everyone knows I love a man in uniform... but unfortunately I cannot accept, as I will be taping an episode of 'Hot In Cleveland," Betty said in a statement to Access Hollywood. As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Sgt. Ray Lewis, who has served in Afghanistan and Iraq, invited Betty via YouTube, following the lead set by fellow marines who were successful in inviting Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake.

Lewis promised to show the Hollywood legend "a good time" if she accepted his invite."She's funny, she's sweet, she's mature. She's the all-around perfect woman," Sgt. Lewis said of Betty. "I really think we'd have a good time. I'm fun, you know. ... I think I can make her laugh. I think she can make me laugh. I think we can laugh together.
Adding, "So, call me!"

On Monday, "Friends With Benefits" co-stars Mila and Justin appeared on NBC's "Today" show, where they confirmed they would both be attending separate upcoming Marine Corps Balls and joked about the excitement surrounding the events."Marines have a lot of balls," Kunis said. While Justin added, "We want to pay honor to our country and embrace their balls."

"Harry Potter" star Emma Watson says she plans to return to Brown University to complete her degree. The British actress who plays Hermione (hur-MY'-nee) Granger in the "Harry Potter" series tells The Virginian-Pilot that she remains enrolled at Brown even though she'll study at England's Oxford University in the fall. She says intends to return to Providence in 2012 to complete her studies at the Ivy League school.

Emma Watson left Brown earlier this year, saying she wanted to devote her time to the final "Harry Potter" film and other acting opportunities. The final chapter in the series premiered last week, setting box office records. It took in an estimated $168.6 million domestically from Friday to Sunday. That beats the previous best opening weekend of $158.4 million for 2008's Batman blockbuster "The Dark Knight."

Jennifer Lopez should hook-up with next or how she should go about it, after all her split from husband of seven years Marc Anthony was just announced this past week when the couple released a joint statement saying,This was a very difficult decision. It is a painful time for all involved, and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time." But given the speed with which celebrities have been known to bounce back after a split, it's only a matter of time before the 41-year-old actress' name is linked to another man.

She could cross over from the FOX network to ABC and star in "The Bachelorette." Besides providing a great big boost in ratings for the program, Lopez could help pioneer a celebrity foray into the series. Of course, the fact that the she will have 25 eligible bachelors to choose from won't hurt Jennifer's love life any.

Let's face it, "American Idol" hasn't had a real juicy Judge/Contestant scandal since Paula Abdul's alleged affair with contestant Corey Clark in 2005. At the time of the allegation, Abdul was only a year younger than Lopez is now, which means the actress is not too only to be caught in a similar scandal. Besides, with the departure of Simon Cowell last season.

Where do you go from relationships with mega stars like Ben Affleck and Marc Anthony? The answer, the British Royal Family of course, after all wasn't Prince Harry just recently spotted in the company of Hollywood blond bombshell Charlize Theron? So why not Jennifer and Prince Harry, since the younger prince's relationship with Chelsy Davy has never been all that solid.

It's time for Jennifer to hook-up with an athlete of equal star power? Recently actresses such as Hilary Duff (hockey player Mike Comrie), Minka Kelly (baseball player Derek Jeter) and Eva Longoria (basketball playerTony Parker) have all gone that route, so why not Lopez? While the success of the relationship may be only short lived, it will at least keep her name in the press for a while to come.

Denise Richards definitely put up with a lot of Charlie Sheen's antics over the years, so no one would blame her if she accepted an offer for a tell-all interview her relationship with the troubled actor.

Richards and Sheen's relationship over the years has been tumultuous -- to put it lightly. The couple married in 2002 and had two daughters - Sam and Lola - before a messy divorce in 2006.

The couple seems to have reconciled for the sake of their daughters - and Richards vows to stick by Sheen as he battles his addictions. She was there with him in New York when he trashed a room at the Plaza Hotel in October - and she rushed to his side after his emergency hospital visit on Jan. 27.Her focus right now is on Charlie getting better and being there for her kids. He is their father and Denise wants him healthy so that he can be a part of their life," a source close to Richards told PopEater.

Celebrity gossip columnists and network news programs are reportedly clamoring to get Richards' side of the story. She wouldn't spill any details to Hoda Kotb and Kathy Lee Gifford in November on the "Today Show" and she's not saying anything now - save for one tweet from the actress.

"If you caught 'GMA' today...FYI No 'adult film star' will be babysitting our kids!" Richards tweeted last week, referring to reports that Sheen asked party pal Kasey Jordan to babysit his kids. She's not budging - and her refusal to sell out -- shows that her priorities in the right place. Her integrity is refreshing in a world where the highest price gets the story.

Charlie surrounds himself with yes people, a friend told PopEater's Rob Shuter. "If you say no to him, then you are out of his life. Denise is one of the only people that could convince him. It wouldn't be the first time Denise has begged for him to get the help he needs, but everyone is hoping that this time he listens to her.

Kristin Kreuk was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her father, Peter Kreuk, is of Dutch ancestry and her mother, Deanna Che, is of Chinese ancestry; both are landscape architects. She also has a younger sister, Justine Kreuk.

She had no previous experience in acting other than musicals at her high school, was convinced to audition for the role by her drama teacher. Much to her surprise, she won the part. After shooting the first season of Edgemont and getting herself an agent, Kreuk landed the lead role of Snow White in a TV movie entitled Snow.

The program (which was slated to be shot in Vancouver) was to revolve around the life of teenager Clark Kent, alias Superboy. Gough and Millar called Kreuk to the WB's studios in Burbank, California to audition for the role of Clark Kent's pre-Lois Lane love, Lana Lang.

She wrapped up her role on Edgemont. She was also tapped for her first feature film role in the summer of 2003; she made a cameo appearance in the movie Eurotrip, starring Scott Mechlowicz and Michelle Trachtenberg. The film, shot in Prague, Czech Republic, also featured cameos by Matt Damon and Lucy Lawless.

Kristen Bell's breakout role as feisty, teen detective-in-training "Veronica Mars" (UPN, 2004- 07) might have been surprised to know that the young actress' roots were in musical theater. She had already appeared on Broadway twice when she was cast in the lead of the critically acclaimed TV series.

While Bell's fledgling film career included brief dips into horror and little-seen indie comedy, a leading role in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" (2008) launched her romantic comedy career and bumped up her status to big league Hollywood films, where her self-possessed demeanor, quick wit and dark edge made her a film and TV star simultaneously.

She had secured an agent and was appearing in print advertising for local retailers; eventually working her way up to local television commercials. Theater continued to be a passion, and while attending the Shrine Catholic High School in the Detroit suburb of Royal Oak.

Bell was also cast as the kidnapped daughter of the President in David Mamet's largely unseen thriller "Spartan" (2004), and had a recurring role as a conniving grifter who meets an unpleasant end in HBO's gritty, wild West drama, "Deadwood" (HBO, 2004-06). But 2004 was best remembered as Bell's breakout year - thanks to a quirky family drama (of sorts) called "Veronica Mars."

Sophia Bush made a name for herself as the seductive vixen Brooke Davis on the long-running teen drama series,One Tree Hill. She sparked a press frenzy with her real-life marriage to "Tree" co-star Chad Michael Murray - and their subsequent divorce only five months later.

Though often cast as the flirtatious bad girl, Bush's down-to-earth persona and intelligence grounded her on the big and small screens, adding a deeper layer to many of her characters and hinting at a potential which fans believed she would fulfill.

As a freshman, she developed a penchant for acting and became involved in school theater productions. In 2000, the senior was crowned Queen of the Tournament of Roses Parade. After graduation, she attended the University of Southern California for three years with a journalism major and theater minor.

Film director, Jonathan Mostow changed his mind and deemed her too young for the role of Stahl's love interest, replacing her with the more experienced Claire Danes.By this time, wounds had healed and Bush and ex-husband and co-star Murray could spoke publicly about how they were able to move beyond the past.

Indian Actress Katrina Kaif is one of eight siblings, all girls, from a mother who is a Caucasian of British Nationality, and a father who was formerly from Kashmir, India, but who has since acquired British citizenship.

She started modeling accidentally when she was in Hawaii at the tender age of 14, when she was approached for a jewelry campaign. Thereafter she continued modeling in London.Continuing to model was the reason she got her break in a Bollywood movie.

She received offers from LG, Cola, Fevicol, Lakme, & Veet. It was the Lakme commercial that got her noticed. She retained Matrix as her Manager to accept work on her behalf and at the price she deserved.

Moving to different culture and country was not much of a culture shock for her, as she states that no matter where you come from, the bottom line is that everyone wants to be loved, respected, and cared for.

Indian by extreme right-wingers in Britain who made it clear that she did not quite fit-in with their "Blonde" Caucasian culture; while on the other hand in India itself she had been ranked as an 'outsider' very much like Sonia Gandhi.
