Cartoon went beyond irony into falsehood. Contrary to the illustrated scene, Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has, in fact, been calling on the Palestinians to join in direct talks, and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has adamantly refused. Most recently, President Obama and the Arab League have joined Israel's call, but Mr. Abbas has yet to respond.


A Saturday morning staple since the 1950′s, and before that, they ran reel-to-reel at theaters. Something that marketing experts have been using for a long while, is to bring back a cartoon franchise after around 20 years; this has long since been a way to sell nostalgia to our next generation. Singer Taylor Swift's new song, Mine, arrived on iTunes yesterday, almost two weeks ahead of schedule because the song was leaking on the Web.


"Do you remember we were sitting there by the water?/ You put your arm around me for the first time/ You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter/ You are the best thing that's ever been mine," Swift sings.

She's "developed this pattern of running away" when relationships turn to love and get serious. But she added that the song is also about "finding someone who would make you believe in love and realize that it could work out."Country's Night to Rock, hosted by Tim McGraw, airing Sept.1..............
