Australian movie star Nicole Kidman concedes that some movies probably have contributed to violence against women by showing them as weak sex objects. But, Kidman says those are demeaning roles she's not interested in taking.

And, she says the movie industry has made an effort to contribute to solutions for ending the violence.
Kidman testified before a House Foreign Affairs subcommittee that's considering legislation to deal with violence against women overseas. When asked by Congressman Dana Rohrabacher of Orange County, California, if the movie industry has "played a bad role," Kidman said "probably." But, she quickly added that she herself doesn't. She said she "can't be responsible for all of Hollywood" but she "can certainly be responsible" for her own career.
Nicole Kidman is a goodwill ambassador for the U.N. Development Fund for Women, known as UNIFEM, to promote the International Violence Against Women Act.

American model, fashion designer and actress Paris Hilton is known for her appearance in a sex tape in 2003.She keep scoring guest roles on shows. And your demands are absolutely ridiculous. Now Paris wants live lobsters.

We know how celebrities often have a list of things they require backstage when working on a television show or a movie? Well, Paris Hilton has one too. Even though she's simply spending one day filming a movie where she's playing herself. One day and she has a list of demands!

Paris is playing herself in an action comedy called The Other Guys; a role that will take one day to film. According to a source, "The producers were shocked when her team handed them a three-page list of demands - including live lobsters to be prepared fresh when she's ready to eat and a bottle of Grey Goose vodka - all for just one day on the set."

Wouldn't it be nice to have a live lobster cooked and prepared for you whenever you so desired it? But this is necessary for one day of filming? And really, how much Grey Goose vodka is Paris going to be consuming in one day on set? We're thinking she should probably be sober for her acting.

The Other Guys also stars Will Ferrell, Eva Mendes, The Rock (Dwayne Johnson), Mark Wahlberg, Michael Keaton, and Samuel L. Jackson. Some pretty huge stars, so we wonder what their demand lists look like compared to Paris Hilton's.

Of course, Paris's representative says, "This is totally ridiculous and untrue," but we believe it. It sounds just like something Paris Hilton would do!

American swimmer Natalie Coughlin scored Olympic gold, but She won't be going for the gold on "Dancing with the Stars." The superstar swimmer is the latest celeb to be tossed from the pool of dancers.
Coughlin and professional partner Alex Mazo earned 22 out of 30 points for their paso doble on Monday night. The two were at the bottom with pop singer Aaron Carter and partner Karina Smirnoff -- and the judges were surprised.

"Justice should prevail," judge Len Goodman said, "and neither should be there."

When asked about her experience, Coughlin held back tears. "I don't know, I loved this so much. I guess I didn't show it, how much I loved it, but I really did. I'm sorry."

The elimination marks the earliest exit for an individual Olympic gold medalist since the show began in 2005.

Tuesday night's show also featured a performance by Norah Jones and dance tribute to Michael Jackson. The King of Pop's mother and a few siblings were spotted in the audience.

Nine couples remain and will dance the waltz and the jitterbug in addition to a mambo marathon on next week's show.
